Born and raised in South Africa, we moved to Portugal in 2020. Arriving mid-COVID with nothing established except each other and the belief we could build something real here.
We spent years building careers and working hard for other people's businesses before asking ourselves what we actually wanted our life here to look like. The answer was surprisingly simple: to build something of our own, become part of the community we'd chosen to call home, and create a business we could genuinely be proud of.
As solar owners ourselves, SolVivo started with a problem close to home. We wanted someone we could trust to properly care for our own system. Someone professional, reliable and thorough. When we struggled to find that, we saw an opportunity to create the kind of service we'd been looking for ourselves.
And that's where being very different works rather well.
Monica is the people person. She's the voice you'll usually hear first, the one behind the planning, customer experience and commercial side of SolVivo. She tackles both our Portuguese and English clientele, loves building relationships and solving problems, and makes sure that from your first message to your final report, everything feels easy, personal and properly looked after.
Stuart is the details person. Swiss by heritage and meticulous by nature, he's happiest when he's hands-on. He's the one on the roof, taking his time, checking the details and treating every solar system as though it were our own.
One builds the relationship. The other gets on the roof.
Together, we built SolVivo.
Better together.
Measurable proof of the difference, every time we show up, the standard we hold ourselves to.
